Attendance and punctuality
All children benefit from regular and punctual school attendance, which is essential to every child’s academic, social and personal development.
Being absent from school means a lost learning opportunity.
Like you, we want our children to achieve their full potential; therefore, we open our gates at 8:20am for a 8:30am start. The school day finishes at 3:15pm for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 and at 3:20pm for Year 3, Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6.
Punctuality: It is not only days that matter; every minute counts. Arriving on time (by 8:20am) means children can walk into class with their friends. This increases their sense of belonging and creates a calm start to the day. Specialist teaching of foundational skills and our wider curriculum begins promptly after registration at 8.30. Your child deserves the very best so it is paramount they are there.
Absence: If you know your child is going to be absent from school for a dental/medical appointment please inform the school office and bring a copy of the appointment card. Wherever possible, appointments should be made outside school hours unless it is an emergency.
Sickness: If your child is going to be off sick, please inform the school through Studybugs before 9:00am on the first day of absence. You will be asked the reason for the absence and repeat the process for every day of absence.
Holidays: Government and London Borough of Greenwich guidance is that no holidays should be taken during term-time. The school will not authorise any holidays during term time. If there are exceptional circumstances that require your child to be absent from school for a short period of time, please put your request in writing to the Mrs Rose (forms are available from Reception), at least two weeks prior.

Celebrating attendance
Every week during our Celebration Assembly the classes that have 95% attendance and above get to roll then dice in our 'Classopoly' game. Landing on a reward means there is a treat for the whole class!!
Every half term we celebrate children with 100% attendance in a special assembly with certificates to take home.
