Our School PARLIAMENT

At Greenacres, we have a School Parliament comprising of elected children from our KS2 classes. School Parliament meets weekly to discuss important issues, shares ideas, and to work on projects to improve our school and community. Through collaboration and leadership, our pupils develop confidence, responsibility, and a sense of active citizenship.

Fundraising comprises a large part of the role of the parliament, with the school supporting a number of charities and working with a number of groups to make improvements to our local area.

The aims of our School Parliament are:

  • Represent all pupils and include a fair representation of the school.

  • Take time to listen to all pupils and communicate their views.

  • Feedback to pupils about what happened about their views.

  • Action decisions that have been made or explain why they can’t happen.

I am so proud that I was voted in by my class.
The school parliament do really important jobs, I enjoy helping others and bringing new ideas to life.
